woohoo!!!!! You are doing fabulous and I'm so proud of you, my internet pal. As far as the ditzy brain goes.... I'm not a doctor or anything but it stands to reason that if your brain has functioned ON SMOKES for umpteen years, it will probbly take a little while for it to properly function without those smokes. Trust me though.... it will happen. I went through this same thing. It felt like I wasn't even inside my own head (if thats makes any sense).
